Teal
Blake was born and raised in Montana at the base of the Rocky Mountains
in Charles M. Russell country. His mother, Tona Blake, a designer,
writer and photographer, and his father, Buckeye Blake, a famous western
artist both helped to instill his artistic nature.
At an early age, Teal was introduced to horses. He was raised in and
around the rodeo circuit and the cutting horse arena. He also accompanied
his family to some of the western art world's most prestigious events. |

Teal
is the great garandson of Samuel Coke Blake, one of the founding
breeders of the American Quarter Horse. As his great grandfather
did, he raises and shows quarter horses and makes them a large
part of his life, both in competition and in his artwork. Currently
living in Weatherford, Texas, Teal is a full time artist, doing
design work for major western companies as well as commissions
for private buyers. |
